New Owners of Weather Vane Cafe!

The Weather Vane Cafe has new owners. Ivyn and Melva Lund have bought the business and will take over operations on April 1st, 2010. Melva says: "We love this place and the people who come here. We do have a few changes in mind, but we plan on carrying on the same great food, service and atmosphere that has made this place so special to begin with." Ivyn adds: "We're not sure of the exact date yet, but we will be open on Sundays in the near future. There will be no major changes to the menu right now but we will make some additions." The Weather Vane Cafe was first opened in the fall of 2004 by Kat & Maggie Darling. Paul & Shelley Schaaf, along with Paul's dad Don Schaaf, took over in the fall of 2005. Shelley says: "It has been a great run and I am proud of the business we built. We worked hard but we had a lot of fun! The staff and customers here have made this place what it is and I feel it is going into good hands. I think Ivyn and Melva will do a great job." Photo and story courtesy of The Anita Tribune.
